MaRO is a fine dining restaurant located in Santurce, Puerto Rico, that merges Asian cuisine with Latin flavors, elevating the gastronomic experience through vibrant dishes and innovative techniques. Led by chef Mario Pagán, the concept brings the essence of his past success, Lemongrass, into a new space designed for sensory exploration.
Our design for MARO aims to complement the interior's cream tones and orthogonal architectural accents with red tones and gold, creating a space that feels both warm and refined.
Logo System
MARO's logo is influenced by the restaurant's established architectural language, traditional Japanese joinery, and Latin textile patterns, with geometric forms that reflect the square-like structures present in all mentioned influences.
Brand Assets
With the established visual language, we created icons that ressemble tropical flowers. these icons were later extrapolated to patterns that can be applied to branded items.
